Redefine your beauty meaning, amazing hair should not be depleting the environment.
That’s why at Tony Shamas hair & laser we strive to provide you with hair care products from companies that care about the planet for in-salon services and your at-home routine.
We all deserve performance and purpose. We should all be able to enjoy luxury while supporting livelihoods.
Being able to enjoy your best hair salon experience while knowing the environment is taken care of should be the norm.
Our products, like shampoos, conditioners, hair masques, hair dyes and styling creams, they all come from companies who have made an effort to go as green as possible, while maintaining the highest level of performance.
L’Oreal Professionnel, Kerastase Paris and Kevin Murphy are all companies that give back and believe in sustainable energy and environmental efforts.
Kerastase protects precious ingredients, its Aura Botanica line as 98% or natural ingredients and 97% of formulas are biodegradable. No silicones, no parabens, no sulphates. Kerastase turns natural ingredients into exceptional haircare formulas, that evermore respect the natural world which they depend.
They use a new formulated eco-packaging for their products, that are easier to recycle and use less plastic.
Kerastase is dedicated to sustainable use of materials, the reduction of water waste and, to lowering its carbon footprint. Nearly all Kerastase brand products are produced in the factory of Burgos, Spain which has had a neutral carbon footprint regarding its production since 2015 (it was built in 2014).
The factory also leads the way in environmental initiatives for reducing and reusing waste, and saving water. As a biomass source, is uses 12.000 tons of waste wood from forest in the Castile and leon region. The biomass plant is also fitted with photovoltaic panels.
Kevin Murphy: “As an individual I’ve always cared about the environment but it wasn’t until I created my line of products that I became aware of just how much harm the production processes of any product had on the environment.”
Kevin Murphy makes every effort to do his part to help the environment by utilising packaging that is recyclable or biodegradable, and that can be stored more efficiently during shipping to utilize less vessels.
His line uses natural ingredients from sources that are sustainable and renewable and are harvested utilising methods that do not cause any harm to the environment.
L’Oréal Professionnel has long been engaged in taking responsibility for its ecological activities and has extended its ecological footprint to include its suppliers.
All along the production chain, the group involves its suppliers in its policy of environmental conservation and the protection of natural resources and biodiversity.
It also favors local suppliers, using a single production company in each geographical region.
In this way L’Oréal promotes the economic development of the regions in which it produces, limits the impact of raw material and goods transports and favors cooperation with new suppliers located closer to its markets.
